We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for a national title insurance company based in Dixon
Job Overview: We are looking for an Accounting Assistant I with strong communication interpersonal and problem-solving skills to join our this role you will perform a variety of accounting and administrative functions to support department operations. The ideal candidate will be organized adaptable and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to multitask work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Manage incoming emails and process a variety of requests across multiple functions.
Research trust reconciliations top sheets and process necessary corrections.
Index daily bookkeeping records and miscellaneous accounting documents.
Perform bookkeeping audits.
Prepare and complete monthly reporting requirements.
Assist with additional accounting administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Support departmental needs and contribute to process improvements when appropriate.
Perform revenue and miscellaneous reconciliation tasks.
Conduct remote deposit transactions.
Complete additional accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in an accounting bookkeeping banking or office environment preferred.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
Experience performing administrative support duties.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Minimum high school diploma required.
