Get to Know Your Team:

• Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence-recognized surgeons, imaging, and primary and specialty care.

• Provides assistance to the anesthesia department in preparing anesthesia machines for use, stocking of all areas that require anesthesia services, ordering supplies, and maintaining stocks.
• Responsible for the rapid turnover of cases that require anesthesia services, utilizing the spaulding classification system for cleaning of machines, carts and medical devices or equipment.
• Assists in trauma situations, when needed, and performs under the direction of the anesthesia provider and subject to verification in accordance with state and federal law.
• Prepares, stocks and trouble shoots all anesthesia equipment and machines for surgical cases, including preventative maintainence.
• Stocks all areas, carts and machines with supplies and medications.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• Basic computer knowledge.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous medical experience.
