At Garden Spot Village, our Baristas create a welcoming café experience by preparing high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, and food items while delivering exceptional customer service. This role supports daily operations at Refresh and helps create meaningful connections with residents, team members, guests, and visitors. What You'll Do * Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct * Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times * Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, conditions, and family matters * Follow federal, state, and local regulations governing food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety * Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, specialty beverages, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards * Operate espresso machines, coffee brewers, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently * Greet residents, staff, guests, and customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude * Take customer orders accurately and process transactions through the point-of-sale system * Recommend beverages, food items, and specials to enhance the customer experience * Prepare and serve pastries, breakfast items, and light café fare as assigned * Maintain cleanliness and organization of café workstations, equipment, dining areas, and service counters * Restock coffee supplies, food items, cups, lids, condiments, and other inventory as needed * Monitor product quality and ensure beverages and food items meet presentation standards * Wash and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas following established procedures * Support opening and closing duties, including cash handling and inventory tasks * Observe infection control procedures related to Dining Services * Attend in-service training programs and participate in ongoing professional development * Work cooperatively with team members and other departments * Collaborate with residents, resident representatives, staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers * Perform all duties efficiently, timely, and professionally * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned What We're Looking For * Previous customer service, food service, or café experience preferred but not required * Ability to learn beverage preparation techniques and operate café equipment * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Friendly, positive, and service-oriented attitude * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Efficient, organized, and detail-oriented * Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system accurately * Treat residents, guests, and coworkers with kindness, enthusiasm, and respect * Willingness to train and participate in ongoing staff development programs * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Identify with and promote the Mission and Philosophy of Garden Spot Communities * Must work scheduled weekends and holidays Additional Information This position is part-time 1-2 days per week 6:00am-3:00pm or 11:00am-6:00pm with every other weekend 8:00am-4:30pm Equal Employment Opportunity Garden Spot Communities is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
