Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Reconcile credit card accounts
• Process accounts payable and assist with payroll processing
• Maintain and update financial records and filing systems (both digital and paper)
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Communicate with vendors regarding billing questions
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Process purchase receipts for landscaping jobs
• Track inventory, purchases, and team member deductions for company apparel
• Maintain safety training meeting logs and keep compliance waivers up to date
• Support the accountant and operations manager with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with data entry and working with numbers and spreadsheets
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain a regular, dependable attendance record
• Must be 18 years of age or older
