  We are looking for a  Clinical Supervisor who is passionate about supporting youth, strengthening families, and developing a strong clinical team. The ideal candidate is an experienced behavioral health professional who can balance clinical leadership with day-to-day program needs.

You are someone who:

  • Has a  master’s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Holds a current Wisconsin license as a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT , or can obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
  • Has at least  three years of experience working with youth , particularly youth experiencing mental health and/or substance use needs.
  • Has at least  one year of clinical, supervisory, or administrative experience .
  • Is confident providing clinical supervision, guidance, coaching, and support to staff.
  • Understands how to create and maintain a  therapeutic environment where youth feel safe, supported, respected, and valued.
  • Can remain calm, professional, and solution-focused during challenging or crisis situations.
  • Demonstrates strong cultural competence and the ability to work respectfully with youth, families, staff, and community partners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Understands the importance of family engagement and believes families are an important part of the treatment process.
  • Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, staffing needs, documentation, and program responsibilities.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills and can effectively communicate with staff, leadership, families, funders, and community partners.
  • Is comfortable using technology, including  Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet-based systems, and agency-specific programs .
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and appropriate boundaries.
  • Has a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance that meets agency requirements.
  • Is committed to positive youth development and helping young people achieve meaningful outcomes.

What You’ll Do

As the Clinical Supervisor, you will provide  clinical leadership and oversight for the Bakari Center and Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) programs . You will work closely with the Program Director, Assistant Program Director, and management team to ensure youth receive high-quality, consistent, and therapeutic services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the clinical team  by providing supervision, direction, coaching, and support to Clinicians, the MST Supervisor, interns/field students, and the Youth Coordinator.
  • Provide weekly individual supervision  and facilitate clinical staffing and consultation meetings.
  • Oversee clinical assessments, intakes, treatment planning, interventions, and ongoing treatment progress  for youth.
  • Ensure treatment services are delivered with fidelity to the  Integrated Treatment Model and Multi-Systemic Therapy .
  • Help create a therapeutic milieu by modeling positive interactions and supporting staff in their work with youth.
  • Review and approve care plans, treatment plans, safety protocols, Plan for Extra Help protocols, and suicide protocols  to ensure youth needs and safety are addressed.
  • Monitor clinical documentation, treatment progress, weekly summaries, and dosage information.
  • Provide clinical coverage when needed, including individual sessions, groups, and behavioral support.
  • Facilitate or support  Making Proud Choices and Healthy Youth Grant groups  and collaborate with QA/QI staff to meet grant requirements.
  • Co-facilitate parent education groups and actively engage families in treatment and programming.
  • Create clinician schedules and monitor the program calendar to ensure appropriate staffing and treatment coverage.
  • Support staff performance and development  through evaluations, coaching, training, corrective action, and professional development opportunities.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training clinical and program staff.
  • Work with leadership to address personnel, staffing, and operational needs.
  • Monitor youth records and clinical documentation  to ensure compliance with DCF 52, CARF, DHS, contractual, and organizational requirements.
  • Partner with QA/QI and leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain fidelity to clinical programming.
  • Ensure serious incidents and restraint incidents are properly documented, reviewed, debriefed, and reported within required timeframes.
  • Ensure staff understand and follow applicable  DCF, DHS, confidentiality, patient-rights, and youth-protection requirements .
  • Collaborate with  Milwaukee County Children, Youth and Family Services, MST Services, Milwaukee Child Protective Services, Wraparound Milwaukee, and other community partners .
  • Attend committee, contractual, consultation, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Participate in program development and initiatives that improve outcomes for youth and families.
  • Participate in the  on-call rotation  and provide clinical consultation and leadership support when needed.
  • Help build and maintain a  positive, supportive, inclusive, and accountable culture  for youth, families, and staff.
  • Protect client confidentiality and consistently follow WCS policies, procedures, and professional standards.

In this role, success means that youth are receiving effective, individualized, and therapeutic care; families are meaningfully engaged; clinicians feel supported and accountable; documentation and regulatory requirements are met; and the program consistently delivers services with quality and fidelity.

You will be an important clinical leader who helps connect  youth needs, family engagement, staff development, quality care, and program compliance —while making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
