Job Description

Salary: $115,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• Must be a member of a local union or willing to join one.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers or large rooftop ducted units, with strong HVAC and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal, digital, and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and apply new skills on the job.
• Commitment to safety.
• Universal EPA refrigerant license, applicable state or local licensing, a valid drivers license, and a good driving record.
• Preferred: Journeyman status or equivalent work or military experience.
• Preferred: Solid knowledge of HVAC systems or water chillers.
• The position is subject to JCI pre-hire screening. Acceptance into the local union is required within 365 days of employment; union entry is subject to the unions separate qualifications and screening process.

• Provide customers with high-quality service by addressing facility inefficiencies and resolving service issues.
• Advise customers on solutions during commissioning and aftermarket service, and recommend and implement strategies for efficient facility operations.
• Identify upselling opportunities and prepare quotes to support recommendations and proposed solutions.
• Maintain chiller systems to support optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and repair chiller system malfunctions using refrigeration principles and electrical schematics.
• Integrate chillers with building automation systems (BAS).
• Start up, troubleshoot, dismantle, and rebuild chiller units.
• Work with local market technicians and provide on-the-job training when needed.
• Mentor other technicians on chiller maintenance and repair.
