Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Jira / Atlassian Developer to design, develop, configure, customize, and support Atlassian solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, workflow automation, scripting, integrations, and software development . This role will work closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions that improve development, manufacturing, quality, and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, customize, and maintain Jira and Atlassian solutions based on business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Jira workflows, screens, fields, schemes, automations, scripts, and integrations .
  • Administer and support Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Jira Work Management, and Confluence .
  • Develop custom solutions and automation using Java, Groovy, JavaScript, Python, SQL , and related technologies.
  • Integrate Jira and Atlassian products with enterprise applications, APIs, and other systems.
  • Support integration of Atlassian products with CI/CD tools and development platforms , including Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, scripts, and automation to improve development efficiency.
  • Support data migration between Atlassian environments while maintaining data integrity and minimizing disruption.
  • Create and maintain Confluence spaces, permissions, documentation, and knowledge bases.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Participate in Agile development practices and support continuous improvement.
  • Define and support software testing, quality, security, and deployment processes.
  • Optimize application performance and continuously evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Support the integration of AI/LLM capabilities with Jira , including intelligent ticket classification, summarization, recommendations, automation, and conversational interfaces.
  • Develop technical documentation including architecture diagrams, process models, integration models, data models, and technical design decisions.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering solutions within established timelines.

The ideal candidate is an Atlassian/Jira-focused software engineer who can combine Jira administration and customization with hands-on development, scripting, automation, integrations, and Agile practices. Candidates with titles such as Jira Developer, Jira Engineer, Atlassian Engineer, Atlassian Developer, Jira Administrator, or Atlassian Consultant are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite 4 days per week.
